AUSTIN SMITH
Austin visited Sonoma to tour its University and instantly fell in love with the beauty of wine country. During that trip he did some wine tasting in the area and realized that those picturesque vineyards also produced incredible wines. He knew that this would be his new home.
As soon as Austin got his acceptance letter he moved to Sonoma and started pouring wine at a local winery. It was there that he met other wine connoisseurs and learned more about his new passion.
While at the University Austin had an assignment to create a business. He took this opportunity to write down a dream he created of starting a wine tour company.
After 11 years of hosting guests in Napa and Sonoma, Katie and Austin expanded their love of wine and began sharing their passion for the Willamette Valley with their guests.

Katie’s family moved to Sonoma County when she was only two years old and are still there today. Being surrounded by wine her entire life she began drinking it as soon as it was legal for her to do so and quickly found an appreciation for fine wine. She stayed close to home and attended Sonoma State University, where she met Austin.
Katie began working in the hospitality industry right out of college, proudly accepting a position as a guest services manager at one of the top resorts in Napa Valley. After several years in the hotel business she moved on to being the office administrator for a luxury wine group who owns multiple wineries on the west coast. She enjoyed both jobs and wanted to combine what she loved most about each, people and wine.
Always in support of Austin’s dream of owning a wine tour company, Katie helped him grow his idea to a focused, luxury business.
